Constraint: one fleet, multiple orchard blocks
The importer's customers manage fields planted at different times, resulting in varying row widths and canopy heights across the same region. Maintaining three or four unrelated models in the fleet complicated parts inventory and operator training more than necessary.
The brief was therefore not for a single machine, but for a fleet-wide rule: one compact chassis family with implement width adjusted per block. This rule formed the basis of the configuration list.
Standardizing on a single chassis family
The selected compact model shared its hitch, PTO, and wear parts with the rest of the lineup. Mowers and trailers were paired with this model, and working width was recorded per orchard block.
For the importer, the practical benefit was a single parts inventory and one operator training program instead of one per model. The quotation listed each unit with its implement, ensuring they arrived paired intact.
Parts and service after delivery
The parts list was organized by machine, with filters and wear items listed alongside their respective units. The importer used this list to determine initial stock levels for the first season.
Repeat orders now reuse the same configuration and item numbers, keeping stock records consistent across your fleet.
